This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The bottom has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
So January is almost over and I have not been shooting much aviation at all. A couple here and there but it's too damn cold right now.
A couple years ago I discovered vintage audio. For some reason I wanted to get record player. In my search for a record player I discovered my current Onkyo 5.1 AV receiver has no 'phono' input. Something I didn't think about because I had no record player. So I started searching for a current unit with the phono input and realized they were more than I wanted to spend but in the meantime started reading about what some folks were doing with older 1970's era gear. It stirred something inside me.
Fast forward to now and I can honestly saw I love this old gear. It has a personality. Class. A build quality that is not seen today.
My gear of choice is a brand called Marantz. Real aluminum faceplate and a beautiful green glow with a tuner dial you can actually spin. I now own 3 Marantz receivers. 2 of which have been overhauled by a technician.
Recently, I have been trying to capture the beauty of these machines with the same passion I usually reserve for airplanes. Which means I will be uploading some stereo pictures. It may bore some of you and there is nothing I can do about that. Hopefully others may find the beauty in these thirty year old classic machines, like I do.
